Fare Filing

Overview about all our fare filing services

ATPCO Fare Filing

ATPCO (Airline Tariff Publishing Company) is owned by multiple airlines. Based in Washington, USA, ATPCO has 450 airline members and and provides worldwide fare distribution. ATPCO enables airlines and 3rd parties to code fares, rules and taxes, etc., directly into their databases. The data can then be released globally in all existing GDSs (a single filing for all systems).

In 1998, Airfair became a certified ATPCO partner and has been entering fare data for airlines and resellers into ATPCO's database ever since. Our fare analysts regularly participate in ATPCO training and conferences.

We code the following items for our customers:

  • International Public Fare Records (published fares - for airlines only)
  • International Private Fare Records (unpublished/private fares - for all customers)
  • Rule Sequences
  • Booking Code Sequences
  • RBD Internal Sequences
  • Carrier-Imposed (YQ/YR) Fee Sequences
  • Ticketing Fee Sequences
  • Optional Services Sequences/Ancilliaries
  • Branded Fares Sequences
  • Tax Sequences
  • Cat.31/Cat.33/Voluntary Changes and Refunds
  • Expired Data Cleanup

But even ATPCO has its limitations. Some feeder classes and add-ons cannot be loaded or connected as created by an airline’s revenue or pricing department. Airfair therefore offers alternatives to ensure that no revenues are lost.

GDS/CRS Fare Loading

Each GDS provides its own fare filing tool (Sabre: Direct Fare Filing, Amadeus: FareXpert Filing Platform or Travelport: Agency Private Fares). These tools enable users to input, edit, modify, manage and distribute multiple negotiated fare types (unpublished/private fares).

Airfair's fare analysts manage all these GDS filing tools. If feeder classes, add-ons or particular elements of paper fare contracts cannot be loaded correctly through ATPCO, our experts load these fares directly into the GDSs.

Each system has its strengths and weaknesses. We will be happy to advise you on the best fare filing method to suit your needs.

3rd Party Fare Filing

Many airlines resellers use their own fare databases to automate downstream processes such as:

  • Fare Display
  • Internet Booking Engine
  • Ticketing Automation
  • Cache Tool
  • Mid-Office Tool

Airfair currently enters fare data for our customers in Airquest and Hitchhiker. We are happy to extend our service portfolio for 3rd party database applications. Please contact us if you are interested in outsourcing your internal fare data management.

Commission Fare Filing

We manage commissions for negotiated contracts in various systems for some of our reseller customers. This guarantees an unobstructed process for automated ticketing and a correct BSP and ARC settlement. Digitised processes helps save time and mitigate risks.

For airlines, we are able to load commissions in ATPCO for each fare type (Type L, Type C and Type T). We can also create different net and selling fares according to an airline’s negotiated contract.

Please contact us to arrange a consultation on your commission deals.
